Good spelling comes from noticing how words are built. These games get students to compare spellings, collect letters in order and work out hidden words, using words from our 90 word lists.
Why spelling needs games
Copying a word ten times can be done without thinking. These games make students look closely: which spelling is right, which letter comes next, and where a letter belongs.
Sound and meaning too
Words are read aloud when a student gets them right, so they connect the spelling with the sound. Students who choose Sinhala or Tamil help also see the meaning.
